    Standard Fit Suit Sizing

To order a standard size custom made suit, please refer to the chart below to determine your size. Standard size suits fit a wide range of riders. You also have the option to have a "Split Fit" suit custom made if you are larger in the upper portion of your body than the lower. For example, you may fit into a size 50 suit from the waist up and a size 48 suit from the waist down. What is a "Fit Sample Suit"?

Fit sample suits are suits that we have in stock and send to customers in order to insure they've chosen the proper size before we move forward with building their custom suit.

They're offered at a discounted rate because they are only available in the two colorways shown here, and they offer no additional customization (Names, Logos, Etc...). Other than that they are no different than any other EVO suit we sell.

Can I exchange or return a fit sample suit?

Yes, fit sample suits can be exchanged for a different size if the one you order is not correct, however you will have to cover the cost of shipping. This only applies if no customization whatsoever has been done to the suit. There is no return or exchange offered for customized goods.

Custom Size Suits

To order a custom size suit, you will need to do the following to insure a proper fitting suit. Please call before taking measurements for pointers and advice. We are not responsible for the improper measurements supplied. We are more than happy to take the measurements if you would like to schedule an appointment with us.

  1. Download the measurement form (.pdf) and read in full before taking any measurements.
  2. Take three pictures of yourself from the front, side and back (full frame, from head to toe with no angle) wearing nothing but compression shorts (and a sports bra for women) with your waist line clearly marked as asked for on the measurement form. A 1/2 inch red velcro tape is prefered to mark the waist line. It is easliy seen and will hold its place for consistency. This is to be a level line from all sides on the body.
  3. Send in your measurement chart by email, mail or fax.
  4. Call 800.299.9651 to place your order.

All length measurement points should be marked with an ink pen on the body for exact start and stop points. This will insure there is no overlap when taking these measurements. Pilot is not responsible for incorrect measurements sent to us or suits made from them. Please call with any questions about this.

  1. Outstanding gear!

Posted by Dave H on 26th Jun 2014

Performance and great fit at a super price, great in warm environments, haven't got to test it cold weather yet but it beats tropical rain storms no problem, I like it more than my very expensive "stich" jacket

  2. Very high quality for the money

Posted by Larry S on 16th May 2014

The quality is right up with the best. Sizing is slightly small but within standard sizing charts. I am a 52" chest and the 2XL just fits. The pocket access is great for the chest pockets. The slide in from the side openings make it easy to get at thing while riding down the road.

So far I have ridden in 40° - 85° weather for commuting 25 miles and it has performed very good.

I ride a Victory Vision which has pretty good wind protection and I think on the hotter days (80°+) the vents in the shoulders allow decent airflow but I would lean towards a mesh jacket on longer rides.

All in all this is a great jacket for the money and I would recommend it.

  3. Rivals $600+ Jackets at keeping you WARM and DRY!

Posted by Stephen on 10th Mar 2014

Quality is Top Notch... They thought of almost every detail to add into this jacket. Not only that, but it really does do what it says... If you look at other reviews on the Reissa Liner, you'll see nothing but good things. I have always preached "Gore-tex Gore-tex Gore-tex" and at times, paid the premium for it... The Reissa comes in at a MUCH more friendly price, and works just as well, which keeps the cost of this jacket down.

Riding in a torrential downpour at 70 for about an hour total, I stayed completely dry. I have ridden a few times in the rain since I purchased this jacket, and their overpants and have yet to have it soak through. Much better than I could say about my old "waterproof" gear when it was new...

This jacket is also FAR warmer than my old gear (Which was a Name brand, listed about $300 for just the jacket, another $300 for the pants.)and quite a bit more comfortable than the old gear too.

Do not hesitate to purchase this jacket, or the matching overpants. You will not regret it!

  4. Great Features and quality at an excellent value

Posted by Rick M. on 17th Feb 2014

Wanted a fabric jacket with lots of easily accessible pockets (i.e. adventure touring jacket), and found a great review for the Pilot Trans.Urban jacket. Features were there. Looked good. Price was great. So a few clicks, and only a few days later, the jacket arrived. It exceeded expectations.

The fit is generous for the average American, so I ordered a medium instead of a large. Even with the liner and pads, it fits comfortably.

Shortly after, I purchased the Omni Air Overpants, and those too were great quality at a great price.

The only 'constructive criticism' is the foam back and hip pads. However, I was able to upgrade the back and hip protectors and still beat the competition's price.

Just ordered the Pilot Direct Air jacket, which will work great with the Omni Air over pants. Looking forward to another great quality jacket at a fantastic price.

  5. Incredible Quality

Posted by Tony M on 15th Dec 2013

In terms of materials and features this is one of the best jackets I've seen, rivaling the quality of high-end jackets from Rev'It. The shell feels very durable while still being soft and stylish. The stitching & lining are also very well finished. The many rider-focused features (soft collar, pockets, red-tabs, thumb loops) are ingenious.

Where the jacket didn't work for me was the overall cut. I'm 42" chest X 34" waist and I found the size-M jacket to be very boxy. There seems to be only 0-to-2 in of taper from chest to waist. Thus, there was a lot of loose material around the waist & hips. Moreover, the sleeves are very roomy for me with a lot of loose material around the biceps & cuffs. This of course is a personal preference, but I prefer a sleeker fit (like from Rev'It or Dainese) that conforms while riding to avoid buffeting and give a contoured and stylish fit.

  6. High Quality and Comfort, clever features, superb fit

Posted by Lee on 28th Nov 2013

The XXL Neon Trans.Urban arrived yesterday and I just wanted you to know that I'm really very pleased. The fit and comfort is really excellent. It feels like it's perfectly in between the XL and XXL's I've been trying on. I was looking for a jacket for the cooler months, that would fit comfortably with the liners in place and a sweatshirt underneath, but that would not be huge and bulky without the sweatshirt in more moderate weather.

It's certainly a better jacket than the TourMaster Transition 3's that I've tried on locally. The fit and quality is far better than the Sedici and Bilt textile jackets that I've also sampled locally which are ok, but they feel more like they are built to a price point than the Trans.Urban. Fabric quality is a large step up, especially the comfy neck roll area.

The Trans.Urban seems more comparable in construction to the Olympia lines, but the fit is better and it's far more comfortable for me. The sleeves in the XXL aren't too long, for instance, and the entire jacket and elbows seem protective yet still bend nicely without being overly stiff. This is a really well thought out jacket with a lot of clever detail like the red-edged pockets so that you can more easily see them and the key/remote fob pocket on the left wrist/forearm area!

The double zipper, as mentioned by the other reviewer, is a bit fiddly, but no more so than on any other jackets with this feature.

I am looking forward to riding with this soon!

  7. Well thought out design features

Posted by Annoynomus on 23rd Nov 2013

Very nice jacket. Lots of well thought out design features. Main zipper is a double zipper. I had difficulty at first starting the main zipper. After trying different ways I found a way to start the zipper easily, so I will keep the jacket. I have to start it by pushing in on the bottom of the zipper with my left thumb (hard to describe).

Sleeves and neck fasten with velcro, for maximum ajustability. The neck closure can be snapped out of the way if it's warmer out. The red highlights inside the jacket make it easy to find all the zips and snaps. Never saw that on a jacket before. Small pocket on the outside of the left sleeve is great for toll change, earplugs etc. Every motorcycle jacket should have that.

I have only used it a few times so far, in about 42 F. Temps. No problem, plenty warm with the liner in. Haven't been in the rain with it. I think the rain proofing is done to the inner side of the main jacket shell and the removable liner is for warmth only.

This is a nice upgrade from my older (8 yrs?) First Gear Kilimanjaro. All the outside pockets open easy, unlike my older jacket, and I would guess the armor has improved since that time.
